Explanation

The oxidation of a secondary alcohol results in the formation of a ketone. Secondary alcohols are oxidized by losing hydrogen atoms, and since there’s no hydrogen attached to the carbon bearing the hydroxyl group, further oxidation does not proceed to a carboxylic acid.
