Explanation

The M.K.S. system was first introduced Giorgi. M stands for meters. K stands for kilograms. S stands for seconds. These three units work together with various equations. They are three basic units within the SI system. Many other units can be described using those three units. For example, a Newton (unit of force) is a kg m/s^2. A kilogram multiplied by a meter divided by seconds squared.
