Explanation The explosion was caused by a buildup of methane gas. The collapse trapped at least 12 miners. Rescuers recovered the bodies of 11 workers. The search for the remaining miner continued. A mines workers association leader blamed the incident on the owner of the mine for not following mining regulations.
