Explanation

Members of the transgender community gather during the inauguration of the Transgender Protection Centre on Wednesday. The centre is the first of its kind government facility that would provide legal aid, health and rehabilitation services, as well as psychological counselling, for the transgender community. Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari said the transgender community would be provided the same employment and healthcare facilities as other citizens of the country.
