Explanation

The 7th Population and Housing Census of 2023 was Pakistan’s first digital census, conducted by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) from March to May 2023. This census used digital methods, including the use of Android-based tablets for enumeration, a self-enumeration portal, and GPS/GIS integration for geo-tagging structures, marking a significant leap in the digitization of census processes in the country and South Asia.
