Faiz Ahmed Faiz was born on 13 February 1914 in Narowal, Sialkot and died on 20 November 1984 in Lahore. Faiz Ahmed Faiz was an Army Officer (Lieutenant Colonel), Teacher and Journalist. Faiz Ahmed Faiz was first Asian Poet who received Lenin Prize in 1962. Lenin Prize is most prestigious award of Russia. It is awarded in the filed of Science, Literature, Arts, Architecture and Technology. It was created on 23 June 1925. Faiz Ahmed Faiz was also awarded “Lotus Prize for Litrature” in 1976.
